Air Berlin PLC: Publication of a notification of voting rights (shares) 

On 12 June 2009, ESAS Holding A.S., Maslak/Istanbul, Turkey has informed us that
its voting rights in Air Berlin PLC, United Kingdom, ISIN: GB00B128C026, WKN:
AB1000 fell below the limits of 15% and 14% of the voting rights on 4 June 2009
due to an event changing the breakdown of voting rights (capital increase) and
as of this date amounted to 13.9% (which corresponds to 10,045,031 of the voting
rights). 13.9% of the voting rights (which corresponds to 10,045,031 of the
voting rights) are directly attributable to ESAS Holding A.S.
