Optical Networking today announced the availability of enhanced network
operations center (NOC) services as part of the new ADVAcare suite, which
presents a combination of operations services, technical support and hardware
and software maintenance.
Operations Services are designed to help protect customers' networks and reduce
operational expenditure (OPEX), while freeing internal resources to focus on
core business activities. With ADVA Optical Networking responsible for
maintaining all critical network-performance and security parameters, carrier
and enterprise customer personnel can dedicate their attention to creating new
services and value for their own end users.
ADVA Optical Networking's Operations Services are provided remotely, with all
network-event, Quality of Service (QoS) and surveillance data securely
transported out-of-band between a customer and ADVA Optical Networking. This
ensures no latency is added to the customer's regular service traffic. Proven
NOC personnel in a hardened off-site facility monitor both links and equipment
and resolve issues to optimize performance of the customer's network and
established services.
ADVA Optical Networking's Operations Services include:
* Network Surveillance
* Fault and Performance Management
* Remote Move, Add, Change (MAC)
* Configuration and Circuit Resource Management
* Inventory Management
The ADVA Optical Networking's Operation Services offering is available in both
premium (24 hours per day, 365 days per year) and basic tiers (weeknights and
weekends). Service-level agreements (SLAs) can be customized for a specific
customer's needs-from targeted extension of an enterprise or carrier's existing
support coverage to turn-key operations capability.
