Fifth interim announcement 

On the basis of the resolution of August 02, 2010 by the Board of Directors of
Wincor Nixdorf AG, Paderborn, ISIN DE000A0CAYB2, to purchase up to 400,000
shares of the company during the period from August 03, 2010 to November 03,
2010 (see the ad-hoc release of August 03, 2010), Wincor Nixdorf AG purchased
none of its own shares during the period from August 31 to September 06, 2010. 

The purchase took place through the Credit Agricole Cheuvreux S.A., Paris,
exclusively via XETRA trading on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. Information on
this transactions in accordance with Section 4 (3) and (4) of the European
Commission's EU regulation no. 2273/2003, dated December 22, 2003, in
conjunction with Section 20 (1) of Council Directive 93/22/EWG of May 10, 1993
