DJ HUGIN NEWS/GENEART Reaches Contest Final “Entrepreneur of the Year 2008″ - Ernst & Young honours Germany's best mid-tier companies - Impressive growth rates and high innovative strength lead GENEART AG's team into the final - Prestigious business award will be presented at the Alte Oper Frankfurt on October 9, 2008. Regensburg, October 08, 2008 -GENEART AG, world market leader for gene synthesis and expert in Synthetic Biology has reached the "Entrepreneur of the Year 2008"-final for the second consecutive time. This award honours entrepreneurial top performances, and only Germany's most innovative companies with the strongest growth numbers reach the final. The prize which has been awarded to Germany's best entrepreneurial mid-sized companies for the twelfth consecutive time by the auditing and consulting company Ernst & Young, has achieved high esteem due to its demanding entrance criteria. The candidates' performances are not only validated by the respective company's key figures but also during a personal discussion with an independent jury consisting of top-class experts. The winners out of the 65 finalists from five categories will be announced during a ceremonial award presentation at the Alte Oper Frankfurt in the evening of October 9, 2008. In addition, all finalists will be honoured and accepted into the Entrepreneur-of-the-Year club, the Hall of Fame for entrepreneurs in Germany. Again for 2008, a significant increase in sales is expected.
