Kurt F. Viermetz, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Hypo Real Estate
Holding AG has resigned as a member of the Supervisory Board of Hypo Real
Estate Holding AG with effect of the end of today. Temporarily, Prof. Dr.
Klaus Pohle, currently deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board, will take
over Mr. Viermetz' position as a chairman of the Supervisory Board.
During the course of the week, the Supervisory Board was able to announce
the replacement of several key functions regarding the Management Board of
Hypo Real Estate Holding AG, and, as of today, also a candidate for the
succession in the Supervisory Board has been found. The candidate needs to
be appointed by the Munich court.
