Tough market for hardware manufacturers due to sliding prices contributes
to a decline in turnover and continuing negative result. The loss was
effectively reduced.
Marl, Germany, 27 February 2008. In the financial year 2007 the computer
manufacturer MAXDATA AG (ISIN: DE0006581309; German securities code (WKN):
658 130), like the entire sector, suffered from plummeting prices with a
corresponding decline in turnover. The continuing drop in prices of
monitors, in particular, led to a decline in turnover to EUR 468.8 million
for the year compared with EUR 524.8 million in the previous year. However,
business trends in PCs, servers and notebooks in particular were positive.
The operating result (EBIT) was minus EUR 32.9 million for the year. The
equity ratio was 25.9 percent.
