VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA–(Marketwire – June 8, 2009) – Edgewater Exploration Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:EDW) (”Edgewater” or “the Company”) announces that it has engaged Featherstone Capital Advisors Inc. (”Featherstone”) of Vancouver, British Columbia as its financial and capital markets advisor to assist the Company with its strategic direction and corporate development. The term of the engagement will be for a period of 12 months. As consideration for the engagement, Edgewater will pay Featherstone a monthly fee of $5,000 and grant Featherstone 300,000 stock options. The exercise price of the stock options is $0.10 per share and have a term of five years. The grant of the stock options are subject to regulatory and exchange approval.

Edgewater is a mineral exploration company and has an option on the Troy Property in north-eastern Ontario.
