National Catastrophe Adjusters Partners with State REALTORS® Associations to Administer BP Oil Spill Funds in 5 Gulf States

National Catastrophe Adjusters (NCA) announced today that it has been
selected to administer the special allocation of funds dedicated to pay
claims for real estate professionals who have lost business because of
the April 20th Deepwater Horizon oil spill. The special
allocation determined by Ken Feinberg, to be administered outside of the
recently established Gulf Coast Claims Facility, is for emergency
payments to eligible real estate professionals licensed in Florida,
Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas.

“Many real estate professionals are struggling to make ends meet given
the impact the oil spill has had on their business. There is a high
level of frustration among this group and our commitment is to ensure
eligible claims get paid in a timely manner with the highest level of
professionalism and customer service,” said Jim Pearl, President of NCA.

“Upon being selected as the exclusive administrator for this special
fund, NCA has worked extensively with the leadership teams of the
respective State REALTORS® associations to ensure we would be in a
position to receive claims today, which we have. This leadership group
has worked tirelessly on behalf of its Members and other real estate
professionals and we are thrilled to partner with them in this historic
event,” said Dave Ross, Chairman & CEO of NCA.

Eligibility is based on proximity to the coast and proof of loss of
commission or income as a result of the oil spill, among other things.
To file a claim, licensed real estate professionals should go to
for additional information.
